Eeben Barlow: Programme Leader and Primary Developer Chairman Executive Outcomes

Eeben Barlow is the founder and chairman of Executive Outcomes (1989 – 1997, and 2021 -) and has actively assisted African governments in structuring elements of their armed forces, training and mentoring the forces, and successfully leading them to counter or neutralise armed anti-government forces. He has contributed to numerous academic book chapters and papers related to African conflicts and wars, the causes thereof, development of National Strategies and associated National Security Strategies, ungoverned spaces, the feasibility of an African Union Standby Force, terrorism, the develop of doctrine, the impact of governance, force development, and more. He is the author of four highly-acclaimed books. He frequently lectures at domestic and foreign universities and defence colleges on African conflicts and mitigation strategies. He served as the Honorary Consul of Sao Tome and Principe (2019-2022)
